The Quad Resort and Casino consists of a hotel that has 2 640 rooms, a fully functioning casino and a shopping, dining and entertainment promenade. It is located on the Las Vegas strip in Paradise, Nevada and is operated and owned by Caesars Entertainment. The resort offers a fully serviced spa; an outdoor swimming pool and a variety of different restaurants with Yard House being the most notable of them.
The hotel rooms are fairly spacious and provide a work desk and chair; complimentary toiletries; video games and a pay per view as well as other standard amenities.
The History of the Quad
Initially opening in 1959, the property had been known as the Flamingo Capri motel and Imperial Palace before being renamed to The Quad Resort and Casino on the 17th of September 2012. The resort and casino is now known as the Linq Hotel and Casino due to joining with the Linq Promenade. The promenade is an entertainment and shopping centre situated adjacent to the resort and casino that opened up in January 2014. Official renaming took place on the 30th of October 2014.
The Quad Resort and Casino Attractions
The Linq Promenade features retail outlets; dining establishments and entertainment venues. The promenade is also home to the High Roller which is owned by Caesars Entertainment and is the world’s highest Ferris wheel as an observation wheel. It opened on the 31st of March 2014 in conjunction with the renaming of The Quad Resort and Casino and stands 550 feet high.
The fifth floor of the parking garage is home to the Auto Collections. This collection is the world’s biggest showroom for classic cars to be showcased. It is 125 000 sq. ft. and displays around 250 classic cars. Most of the classic cars on show are completely operational and available to be purchased. Some of the cars in the collection were at some point driven by celebrities. These include the 1955 Lincoln Capri that was driven by Marilyn Monroe and the 1962 Lincoln Continental limousine used for President john F. Kennedy. The collection is viewable on daily tours and takes about two hours to be completed.
The Casino and Sports Book
The Quad Resort and Casino gaming floor is 118 000 sq. ft. and provides more than 800 slot machines; more than 50 table games; around 8 poker tables and gives access to a race and sports book. A beer pong area is available at The Quad Resort and Casino with a total of five beer pong tables. It is branded after the World Series of beer pong and caters to the twenty to thirty something market. From 2003 until 2014 a batch of eight blackjack tables were dealt by celebrity impersonating dealers. The dealers also performed on a small stage in the middle of the casino. Cher; Elvis Presley; Michael Jackson; Britney spears and buddy Holly were just some of the celebrities that were impersonated.
